Standard Basic Assistance Agreement (SBAA). Published: June 1993, by UN Development Programme in Uzbekistan. The relationship between the Government of Uzbekistan and UNFPA is governed by the Standard Basic Assistance Agreement (SBAA) signed by the Government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) on 10th June 1993. The SBAA was also accepted as a basis of cooperation between the Government of Uzbekistan and the United Nations Population Fund. This was achieved by way of Exchange of Letters between UNFPA and the Government of Uzbekistan dated 7 April 2005.

The Country Programme Document (CPD) and Action Plan (CPAP) for the period of 2010-2015 outline basics of cooperation between UNFPA and the Government of Uzbekistan for the period of UNFPA’s third programming cycle.
